What you get

I look at your account for 48 hours with a read-only key, then send back a written report plus the actual config diff: log exclusion filters, custom metric cardinality limits, retention tuning. Something you can apply directly, or hand to whoever owns the Datadog account.

On the security side of this

I know what an unsolicited "free cloud assessment" offer requesting API access looks like from the outside, because it's also how credential-theft scams work. So here's exactly what I'm asking for and why it's different:

• Read-only key only. Never admin, never write access. I can't change anything in your account even if I wanted to.
• Scoped and temporary. The key gets revoked at the end of the 48-hour window, by you, on your terms.
• You watch the access logs. Every request I make is visible to you in real time. Nothing happens you can't see happening.
• Nothing gets installed. No agent, no tool, no software touches your infrastructure. I read data through Datadog's own API.
• I'm not asking you to skip your own security review. If your org requires one before granting third-party API access, that process should run exactly as it normally would.
